Regina Strong

Regina Strong

For more than 30 years Regina has been a leader in public affairs, advocacy, and the fight for justice and equity. She currently serves as the Environmental Justice Public Advocate for the Michigan Department of
Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). Regina is a proud graduate of Michigan State University and Purdue
University.

Garrett Dempsey

Garrett Dempsey

Garrett’s upbringing and experiences in San Fransico and Oakland, California sparked his passion for equitable access to nature and connecting urban youth outdoors. He serves as lead staff for Detroit Outdoors. Garrett is the volunteer chair of the Sierra Club’s Detroit Inspiring Connections Outdoors programand serves on the Sierra Club Executive Committee.

Gerald Hasspacher

Gerald Hasspacher

Gerald affectionately known as Jerry, has given over 200 presentations about environmental topics. Jerry co-leads an effort sponsored by Detroit Audubon and the Sierra Club to designate Belle Isle as an Urban Night Sky Place. Jerry co-chairs the Sierra Club Southeast Michigan and is a member of Warren’s Environmental Advisory committee.

Nat Ramos

Nat Ramos

Nat grew up camping and hiking in nearby state and city parks, where they developed passion for outdoor education. Their experiences growing up camping and their background in social work shaped their passion for equitable access to outdoor recreation. Nat serves as the Program Director of the YMCA’s Bold & Gold program.
