Sunshine Smoothies

Smoothies are an endlessly versatile meal or snack, plus a great way to introduce new fruits and veggies to young and old eaters alike!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Yield/Total Servings: 2 smoothies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups mixed fresh or frozen
fruit such as strawberries, peaches, pineapple and bananas
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup liquid, such as water,
    juice or milk of choice
  • Additional mix-ins like flax seeds, spinach/greens, nut butters, oats or protein powder

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth
  2. Add in additional fruit or liquid until you reach the desired consistency
  3. If too tangy or bland, add in a small amount of honey
  4. Serve in a fun cup and garnish with fresh fruit and a straw. You can also pack smoothies in a jar and keep frozen for later!

Kitchen Tip: Have produce that is about to spoil? Dice it before freezing for future smoothies!
