The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit has issued an RFP for Comprehensive Major Fundraising Services.
The primary focus of this RFP is to plan, establish and execute a Comprehensive Major Fundraising Program for the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit to increase the number of renewable contributed and sponsored dollars of $10,000 or more to expand our YMCA’s capacity to serve metropolitan Detroit children and families; to fulfill the YMCA mission. Our ultimate aim is to become a charity of choice for Southeastern Michigan, a place that demonstrates incredible return on our community investors time, talent and treasures. In an effort to achieve this aim we have identified three key work components:
- Component 1: Developing a Comprehensive Major Fundraising Program that significantly increases the number of contributions and/or sponsorships of $10,000 or more to support YMCA services and the YMCA endowment fund. We aim to increase contributions and/or sponsorships in increments of $10,000 or more by $500,000 by December 2019 and by $1,000,000 in 2020. Additional detailed targets will be established during negotiations.
- Component 2: Support the development and maintenance of an influential volunteer philanthropic committee by June 1, 2018.
- Component 3: Establish a third party funded and lead charitable event that nets a minimum of $100,000
