We’re excited to welcome everyone to the South Oakland Family YMCA Grand Reopening to celebrate our continued commitment to our community and showcase the renovation of the YMCA.
With the generous support of our donors and partners, we have renovated the South Oakland Family YMCA. Improvements included adding a new Group Exercise Studio, a new Child Watch, new Front Desk, updated Lobby area, new paint and flooring throughout the majority of the building, new staff offices, and new paint in the locker rooms.
We can’t wait to see you there! All activities are free and open to the public.
Celebration Schedule of Activities
- 12:00 pm – Ribbon Cutting with Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce
- 12:00-4:00 pm – Staff available for guided tours of the building
- 4:00-5:00 pm – New Studio – Family Zumba
- 4:00-7:00 pm – Lobby – Refreshments, Photo Booth, and Red Carpet
- 4:00-5:00 pm – Room D – Ceramics with Chimere
- 5:00-6:00 pm – New Studio – Strength Train Together
- 5:00-6:00 pm – Room D – Cooking Demo with the Youth Development Team.
- 5:00-7:00 pm – Gym – Silent Disco
- 6:00-6:30 pm – New Studio – Bootcamp
- 6:00-7:00 pm – Room D – Tie Dye T-Shirts
- 6:30-7:30 pm – New Studio – Spin with Mary
