The Thanksgiving Fresh Basket Program at the YMCA provides hundreds of holiday meals for individuals and families across Metro Detroit. Baskets are filled with fresh produce, pantry items, and other ingredients such as eggs and butter to prepare a variety of Thanksgiving dishes.
A Healthy Meal for the Holiday Season
Families & seniors can receive a warm, healthy meal this season. Baskets are packed with care to include locally-sourced, fresh food items—including a turkey or pot pie, Michigan apples, dairy, vegetables, pantry staples, eggs & even recipes to prepare some of our favorite holiday dishes.

Volunteer at Fresh Baskets
Many volunteers are needed to support this large event to pack baskets at the South Oakland Family YMCA and to distribute baskets to families as they come to pick them up from at one of our YMCA branch locations on Saturday, November 22.
