About the Achievers Program
Established in 1967, The National Achievers program is a high school completion program that helps prepare youth ages 14-18 for college/career readiness. Metro Youth YMCA Teen Achievers program has over 40 years supporting student success that empowers them to transition to successful, productive, and contributing adults. The Achievers program core pillars: Academics, College/Career Knowledge, Positive Relationships, Life Skills, and Positive Identity, provide benefits to students beyond academics and develop them cognitively, socially, and emotionally. The program’s primary goal provides opportunities that help students thrive, graduate, and go on to college or career, obtaining their aspirational goal for a brighter future that positively impacts society. Recent high school graduates in Achievers 2.0 are provided ongoing support for up to 2 years as transition from high school to college and/or career.
