A Recipe for a Healthy Kid
Summer starts here! As the school year winds down, it’s time to relax, decompress, and get excited about summer programs at the Y! During Healthy Kids Days, children and families will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of healthy eating, nutrition and physical activity, mental and emotional well-being, and developing healthy habits.
Join us at one any one of our seven (7) YMCAs in April to celebrate Healthy Kids Days! There will be fun games and activities like: open swim, group exercise and youth class demonstrations and more. There will also be delicious healthy snacks and our amazing caring staff to greet you.
There will be BONUS Days…some of our YMCAs will offer activities during the week. Check with your local YMCA.

There will be a table in the lobby with healthy snacks to make and go plus information about our awesome activities happening all month for Healthy Kids Days. - Saturday, April 3 – Start with a Tummy Full of Healthy Food-Healthy cute butterfly snacks will be handed out to families.
- Saturday April 10 –Stir in a Cup of Physical Activity. Our very own SportPort group will be offering a sports sampler from 12:00-2:00 pm. Come and bring your kids to have some fun and learn new skills.
- Saturday April 17 – Mix in a Pinch of Curiosity- Camp for a Day. Parents and kids can experience a shortened day of camp. They will participate in STEM activities, make crafts, and play super fun games
- Saturday April 24 –Stir in a Cup of Physical Activity. Come bring your family in and enjoy Yoga together. What a great way to end Healthy Kids Month.
