a Y member with a staff person learning about healthier lifestyles in the Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring program at the Y

Take control for a healthier heart!

Research shows that the simple process of checking and recording your blood pressure at least twice a month over four months may lower blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. Blood Pressure Management is an evidence-based program that combines education about proper nutrition with a reduction in sodium with physical activity to guide participants to a considerable reduction in blood pressure.

In this four month program trained Healthy Heart Ambassadors will encourage participants to:

  • Measure their blood pressure at least two time per month
  • Attend two personalized consultations per month
  • Attend two nutrition education seminars over four months

4 month program for only $40

Blood pressure monitors are available for participants for a discounted rate. Scholarships are available.
