We’re excited to kick off 2015 by welcoming Lynette Simmons to our YMCA team as the new Vice President of Mission Resources. Lynette comes to the YMCA from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit, where she served as the Vice President of Programming. She has a Masters Degree in Behavioral Communication from Eastern Michigan University and over 20 years of combined experience in evaluation, grant writing, management and customer service, from both the nonprofit and private sectors, locally and nationally.
We look forward to Lynette bringing her experience to our Y so that we can expand our resources to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
Lynette is no stranger to the YMCA. She was a key leader in our Y’s collaborative partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Y Detroit Leadership Academies and the Skillman Foundation for the past three years.
