The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit will be joining Welcoming America, other organizations and YMCAs across the country to celebrate Welcoming Week, September 12-21. Welcoming Week elevates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace all community members and their contributions to the social fabric of our country.
This week-long celebration is an opportunity for neighbors to get to know one another and celebrate what unites us as a community. In Metro Detroit, the YMCA will host a Welcoming Week Celebration September 20, from 11 am until 2 pm at St. James Park in Birmingham Michigan. In addition, our YMCA Branches will host unique Welcoming Week activities throughout the week.
