Y For All Membership

For over 170 years the YMCA of Metro Detroit has been helping families benefit from the Y; never turning people away because of their inability to pay. The Y For All Membership Program is another way we can help make sure everyone in our community achieve health, gain confidence, make connections and feel secure at every stage of life.

What is the Y For All YMCA Membership?

Introduced in 2011, ‘Y For All’ is a reduced membership rate for families based on a combined annual household income of less than $50,000*.

My household income is $50,000 annually – can I still take advantage of Y For All?

Y For All is only offered to families with a combined household income lower than $50,000 annually. But we still offer other financial assistance programs to those who need it. We can always sit down and review your options and see how the Y can help you and your family. Learn about all of our additional membership options.

Will this program ever be offered to individuals and not just families?

This membership program is based on community need, and for now, we have decided to offer it on a case-by-case basis to families, married couples, and single parent households. Talk to a Member Experience Director to learn more.

*Please see the eligibility requirements for a full list of qualifications.
