Are you an alumni of YMCA Camp Nissokone who wants to stay connected to the camp experience forever? Or are you just a fan of what we do here at Nisso? Either way, we(‘d like to) welcome you to Nissokone! Below are six simple ways to stay connected to camp, even from across the country.
1. ADVOCATE
Let others know what a transformative, amazing place Nissokone is. Maybe you know a child who would benefit from a summer unplugged, or a band or sports team looking for a retreat?
If you’d like to help us by displaying this Nissokone flyer rack at your workplace, just email us the address and we’ll mail one to you!
2. VOLUNTEER
Our volunteer weekend is a growing gathering for people who care about Nissokone to enjoy a weekend at camp and to help prepare for the upcoming summer full of magic and adventure May 15-17. Can’t make it to camp? Consider volunteering in an advisory committee via conference call. Email rmertz@ymcadetroit.org for more details.
3. SHARE YOUR STORY
There’s a common shared feeling from Nissokone alumni who stop by to revisit their summer memories; “I remember it like it was yesterday!” We’d love to hear your memories from camp too! Click here to share your story.
4. INSPIRE
Meet the summer staff at our Annual Corn Roast and Alumni vs. Staff softball game June 27. Pass on the Nissokone spirit to the next generation of camp staff!
5. GIVE SOMEONE A NEW BEST FRIEND
