Since 1918, Camp Ohiyesa has brought individuals together to experience the magic of the great outdoors. We still carry many of the same traditions at camp. There’s a common shared feeling from Ohiyesa alumni who stop by to revisit their summer memories; “I remember it like it was yesterday,” they say. We’d love to hear your camp story and to have you back at camp to visit.

Visiting Camp
We would love to welcome you back to camp to revisit and retell your Ohiyesa memories. Please schedule your visit ahead of time to ensure that we can accommodate you during that time. This can be done by calling our office at 248-887-4533 or by emailing us at camp@ymcadetroit.org. Same day or unscheduled visits may not be possible in order to ensure the safety of all participants at camp.
Memorabilia & Photos
If you have and camp photos or memorabilia from your time with us that you would like to share or donate, we would be thrilled to take a look. We have a growing collection of historic pieces to preserve for generations to come and we would love to add your memories to that list. Items can be mailed to us, emailed to us or brought to camp personally.

Donate to Camp
We strive to make our camp programs as accessible as possible to as many people in our community as we can. Our alumni understand more than most how impactful a week of summer camp can be on the life of a young person from the lifelong friends you make to the new skills you develop along the way. Any amount that you can donate helps us to give that camp experience to campers who otherwise may not be able. Please consider donating at the link below
