Welcoming Week Celebration

Join us for a celebration of community, connection, and cross-cultural understanding among our neighbors. It will be an afternoon of activities for the whole family including: cultural performances, food tasting, soccer clinic, mural painting and more! This event is free and open to all.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit knows that communities are stronger and more cohesive when people from all backgrounds have the opportunity to get to know one another and work side by side to advance the common good. During our celebration of Welcoming Week this year, we encourage businesses, organizations, local government and groups to participate in our ongoing efforts to make Southeast Michigan a region that is welcoming and inclusive for all community members, especially immigrants and refugees.
