Downriver Family YMCA
The Downriver Family YMCA Team sparked conversation on MLK Day with members about their dreams! In honor of MLK Day and our 170th birthday members and friends of the YMCA pledge 170 minutes of volunteer service for the year.
Boll Family YMCA
Boll YMCA Team Member, Darius Harris is an artist at heart and self-proclaimed laughter-crafter. Darius he joys multimedia art, painting, and photography created this lovely display during Black History Month. We celebrated Black History month in many ways, including a membership exchange with the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and We Wear Black Day!
Carls Family YMCA
Lauren Thomas kicked off Women’s History Month at the Carls Family YMCA with trivia! She encouraged members to learn about the many women who have made an impact on our world. Lauren makes a lasting impact on youth every week while sparking creativity, play, and a safe place in Child Watch. In essence of Women’s History Month, we launched our first employee resource group: Women’s Leadership Resource Network. Female-identifying staff members also engaged in a national one day virtual conference.
