At the Y, students learn self-defense through martial arts classes that develop balance, fitness, coordination, self-confidence and discipline through practice of basic techniques and forms.

Tang Soo Do Karate

Through practice of basic techniques, kata (forms), and various levels of sparring, students learn self-defense. Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean form of Karate that promotes positive attitudes, develops strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, discipline and teaches enhanced concentration & self-confidence.

Tai Chi Beginner

A combination of soft and explosive power techniques with a smooth and even-flowing tempo. Relax in movement while pushing the physical limits of the body for total body integration. An excellent activity to improve balance and joint mobility. Age: 13 years and up
