No experience is necessary for this introduction to gymnastics for preschoolers. Students are introduced to equipment, proper form and safety, and basic gymnastics skills including forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and basic skills on equipment.

Young gymnasts advance their skills and fine tune their technique, whether just for fun or in preparation for advanced competition. Some levels may have prerequisite skill requirements. All classes are coed.
This class is designed to build coordination and motor skills using tumbling mats and balance beams. This class teaches the fundamentals of gymnastics while having fun and instilling the YMCA Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
The YMCA recreational gymnastics program is modeled after USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program. It is designed to provide non-competitive, achievement oriented progression of basic skills. Once recreational gymnasts reach more advanced skill levels, they are invited to join our competitive teams.
