Our Active Older Adult programs are designed to strengthen not only muscles, but the whole person. Whether it’s in the pool, on a walk or at a chair yoga class, our programs welcome seniors into a community and encourage them to achieve and prolong good health.

This class adopts a multidimensional approach to improve balance and mobility. Most suitable for older adults who are beginning to experience balance problems that would benefit from this focused training.
Engaging the brain, body, and balance… Active Older Adults learn to perform this ancient Chinese form of Martial Arts. The low impact nature of the Tai Chi movements makes the class especially suitable for those wishing to protect their joints.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises to improve strength, range of motion, and daily-living skills. You will use hand-held weights, elastic tubing handles and a ball for resistance, and a chair for seated and/or standing support.
Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform postures to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercise.
Enhance Fitness is a low-cost, evidence-based group exercise program that helps older adults at all levels of fitness become more active, energized, and empowered to sustain independent lives.
This class is comprised of cardiovascular dance fused with plyometrics, weight training, physioball and small gator ball exercises designed to increase balance coordination strength and flexibility to a variety of music. This senior program is designed for intermediate to advanced fitness levels.
