Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It’s about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities. At the Y, it’s not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside as well as the outside.

health and wellness

Health, Well-Being & Fitness

Because we know that healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing mind, body and spirit, well-being and fitness at the Y is so much more than than just working out. Beyond fitness facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions, and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual and spiritual strength.

  • Group Exercise  From low-impact exercise and chair classes, stretching and strength training to indoor cycling, and yoga, you’ll find a group class that’s fun, supportive and keeps you moving. Our classes are led by certified instructors who ensure proper technique, provide guidance and encouragement.
  • Healthy Lifestyles  Living healthy is about spirit, mind and body at every age and stage. Our Ys offer classes and programs for those dealing with chronic disease, joint and injury rehabilitation, stress and pregnancy, in addition to health assessments and wellness coaching.
  • Personal Training  We all need the advice of an expert sometimes, as well as the personal attention that comes with a trainer or coach. Our Ys offer personal training and coaching to help you set and meet your specific goals in order to live healthier.
  • Adult Swimming  Water exercise, adult swim lessons (it’s NEVER too late) and adapted exercise for those with disabilities or in rehabilitation are some of the water-based activities you’ll find at the Y.
sports and recreation

Sports & Recreation

We believe sports, fun and exploring new interests aren’t just for the young. Along with improving health, whenever teamwork is involved, there’s the added benefit of being connected to others. That’s why you’ll find a range of recreational activities at the Y. With something to offer everyone, there’s no such thing as being too old to get in the game.

  • Adult Recreation  So many activities serve to restore our spirits and energy, get us outdoors or test our limits. And for many of us, they’re the foundation of active living and rewarding relationships.
family time

Family Time

Serving families has always been at the heart of the Y. We are a place where they can find respite from social, economic and educational challenges, and learn how to overcome them. We have a fundamental desire to provide opportunities for every family to build stronger bonds, achieve greater work/life balance, and become more engaged with their communities.

  • Adventure Guides  Adventure Guides programs launch parents and their children on a journey of discovery, with the child as the explorer and the parent as the guide.
  • Family Wellness  Whether the activities are physical like sports or exercise classes, or more recreational like swimming, cooking and arts, Ys want families doing them together because you’ll live healthier and make memories for a lifetime.
  • Family Events  Allow families a time and a place to come together to have a good time; participate in a variety of fun activities; share, communicate and strengthen their relationships; and meet other families.
  • Family Camp  Family Camp takes you away from your normal routine. It’s an escape from life’s many interruptions to relax and play together as a family, strengthen relationships and create unforgettable memories that you’ll share for a lifetime.
