The YMCA Character Counts Preschool classes focus on well-rounded educational activities and hands-on exploration driven at the students’pace. Each program plays an important part in preparing children for kindergarten. These programs embrace the YMCA core values of CARING, RESPECT, HONESTY and RESPONSIBILITY.
On top of all that, we will be installing the Melody Hounds Music, an award winning program, in preschool this year. Studies show that music experience at a young age develops memory and thinking skills.

Terrific Twos & Threes
Classes focus on socialization and sharing skills, arts and crafts, a daily math or science lesson, pre-writing, number and letter recognition, shapes, colors, and circle time which includes weather, calendar, counting ABCs, and story time. Swimming (one lesson per week) and gym time round out this amazing experience for your preschool child.
Child does not need to be potty trained.
Age: 18 months-3 years

Fantastic Fours & Fives
This preschool program offers well-rounded educational activities geared toward building creativity, self-esteem, cooperation and independence. Story time and arts and crafts are integrated with pre-writing and pre-math skills to foster kindergarten readiness. Swimming (1 lesson per week) and gym time complete this incredible adventure for your preschool child.
Child does not need to be potty trained.
