CHILD WATCH

The purpose of the YMCA Child Watch and Kid's Club programs are to offer members a safe and convenient place for their children while they are in the facility. This free service is provided for children who are members of the YMCA, while their parents are attending classes or using the Y for fitness or recreational purposes.

While caring for your child, our program will provide a positive, safe, fun environment.

Notes about Child Watch

Time Limits

For the safety and well being of all children, the maximum time allowed for a child to stay in Child Watch is 2 hours.

Capacity of 20 Children

Our child watch has a capacity of 20 children, and we do get full sometimes. The child watch staff will stop accepting children when they reach the allowed capacity of 20 children. It is strongly recommended that you reserve a spot for your child.

Sick Children

We ask all parents to be mindful of bringing sick children to the Y. For the safety of all children in our care, the Child Watch teams do have the right to ask you not to leave your child if they are obviously sick.

Staff to Child Ratios

The following ratios will be maintained to the best of our ability:

» 6 weeks-12 months 1:4
» 12-36 months 1:8
» 3-5 years old 1:12
» 8-12 years old 1:15
