Open Youth Night

Join us for an evening of friends, fun, and fellowship! Activities include: swimming, climbing wall, volleyball, basketball, and Christian Karaoke. The evening ends with pizza & punch, a guest speaker, and special prize give-aways.

This event is open to all youth ages 12-17 or in Grades 6th-12th. Thanks to the YMCA Annual Campaign, there is no cost to attend this event, however pre-registration is required!

39th Annual Downriver Family YMCA Golf Classic

Join us for a wonderful day of golf at one of southeastern Michigan’s finest courses and help serve families Downriver! All proceeds of the Golf Outing benefit the the Annual Campaign, which provides financial support to families and individuals in our community.

    sessions of 90 minutes each. Our new Yoga Instructor, Sam, will conduct the workshop. There is no membership required for this event.

    Good Grief - Working through the 10 stages of Grief

    Whether your Grief derives from the loss of a loved one through death or from the loss of someone or something once dear to you as a result of divorce, being fired, moving, struggles with children or any other life changing event, you should know that you are not alone. This program will incorporate the use of the book, "Good Grief" by Granger E. Westberg which describes a pathway through the 10 stages of grief, the opportunity to share some of our own experiences, a Question and Answer period at the end of each class, and a Special Guest Speaker to share some insight.

    Class takes place in the Creation Station.

  • Splash and Dash Kids Triathlon sponsored by Beaumont details

    8:30 am - 3:00 pm

    This great community event is offered to members, non-members, Southgate residents and non-residents. Kids ages 10 and under will swim 100 meters, bike 2 miles, and run a half mile. Kids 11-14 will swim 200 meters, bike 4 miles, and run a mile. All participants must provide their own bike and must wear a bike helmet.

    Participants will receive a swim cap and a race shirt.

    After the event participants are welcome to stay and enjoy the rest of the day at the water park. Lunch will provided for anyone under the age of 18.

    Registration: $25.00 if registered by 5/25/17. After 5/25/17 registration is $30.00

    A half mile Fun Run for kids ages 3-6 will happen 15 minutes after Kids Triathlon ends. Participants will get an event shirt. Fun Run registration is $10.00.

    Registration is open at the Y and at the City of Southgate Parks and Rec Department.
