Character Counts Preschool at the Carls Family YMCA is an age appropriate program filled with activities that are both fun and educational. Your child will learn about sharing, making choices and group play in a caring and safe environment.
Our preschool programs are carefully designed to offer activities that expand your child’s imagination and encourage lifelong positive values. Preschoolers begin to learn the YMCA Core Values of caring, Honesty, respect & responsibility.
Your child will also explore preschool academic basics such as numbers, letters, colors and shapes through teacher assisted imaginative play, crafts & stories. At the Carls Family YMCA we also provide large motor skill activities through the use of our full-size gym, outside play area and swimming pools.
Children that are registered for a full day of preschool will attend a swim lesson one time per week with our highly experienced and certified swim instructors. Those children that are registered for half-day preschool can attend an additional hour of preschool through our Lunch Bunch program that includes a swim lesson as well.

Morning: 9:30 am–12 :00 pm
Afternoon: 1:00–3:30 pm
